Operation Pets, Inc. (OPI) is a non-profit organization with a mission of helping communities stabilize unwanted pet populations. We offer high quality, low cost spay and neuter services for dogs and cats, both companion and feral, in South Dakota. All surgeries will be performed in our brand new, state of the art, mobile surgical trailer.
Do I Qualify for Services?
Operation Pets, Inc. strives to make spay/neuter affordable for all residents of the Black Hills. Low-income pet parents qualify with proof of public assistance such as welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), disability, food stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or public housing qualify for heavily discounted spay/neuter services for their cat or dog.
We also accept hardship cases on a case by case basis to be determined by the Board of Directors.
How Much Does it Cost?
Cost depends on whether it is a cat or dog, sex of the
animal and weight. Please visit our services page for pricing.
Days of Operation
Our clinics will be held every other week by appointment only. Families will need to fill out and submit application online. Once your application is received, you will be called by our staff to schedule the spay/neuter appointment.
